The construction of Roxas Sigma Agriventure’s Integrated Coconut Processing Plant in Tupi, South Cotabato is now progressing at a fast rate. Much of the groundwork has already been laid out and the actual structures are beginning to take shape. Once the building construction is completed, the installation of the processing equipment will be the next part of the agenda.
The processing plant is designed to comply with local and global standards on food safety. It will produce high-quality coconut products, such as BULK ASEPTIC COCONUT CREAM & MILK, WET PROCESS CENTRIFUGE-EXTRACTED VIRGIN COCONUT OIL, and FROZEN COCONUT WATER CONCENTRATE.
This 2.2 hectare facility will also be integral in providing many opportunities to the local farmers in Tupi and nearby municipalities. Job hiring is currently underway, offering promising careers to deserving applicants. The plant is also strategically located, giving it easy access to its supply of coconuts while having quick access to the port and international airport of General Santos City. At full capacity, the facility can process up to an average of 300 metric tons of mature coconuts on a daily basis.
The plant is expected to be completed and will start commercial operations by the first quarter of 2017.
